Ever get bottles coming off the line with weird wall thickness or that cloudy, pearlescent look? It’s a headache. Usually, it comes down to one thing: your heating isn’t uniform. We built our 2500W IR radiators to fix exactly that. They’re designed to slide right into Sidel-compatible systems and kill off those thermal dead zones that ruin your PET bottles. Why 2500W? Here’s the deal. You need a lot of heat density to soften the preforms quickly, but you can’t just blast it—otherwise, you’ll cook the neck. We’ve tweaked the filament length and voltage so the energy hits exactly where it needs to. Because they pack so much power into a small space, your cycle times get faster. Just a heads-up: make sure your cooling blowers are up to the task. If they aren’t, all that extra heat is just going to bake your oven housing. The secret is in the quartz We use high-purity quartz glass. Why? Because we don’t want the tube absorbing the heat; we want that energy hitting the plastic. We’ve spent a lot of time obsessing over the “performance gap” compared to OEM lamps. By getting the filament centering just right, we’ve gotten rid of those random hot spots that burn your preforms. It’s just a cleaner, more consistent heat. Getting them installed Swapping these out is easy. They fit the standard Sidel/KHS footprints, so you don’t have to mess around with your wiring or rebuild your oven frames. We also added reinforced end-caps. Blow molding machines vibrate a lot, and the last thing you want is a tube cracking because of the shake. If your bottles are looking inconsistent, take a look at your lamps. Even if one or two are slightly worn out, it throws the whole heat field off. Swapping in a fresh, matched set of these 2500W units usually brings everything back into balance.
