The Build: Halogen, Quartz, and a Connector That Doesn’t Fight You
Inside, the halogen elements sit inside a quartz envelope. Quartz is tough—it takes the thermal shock without cracking, and it keeps the internal environment stable. The halogen cycle helps keep the filament cleaner over time, so output stays steady and the service intervals stretch out. Then there’s the R7s connector. It’s a straightforward, two-end ceramic contact that makes wiring quick, especially in line-of-sight setups. And once it’s in, it stays put—solid mechanical retention you can actually trust.
