If you run a blowing machine, you know the headache. You’re stuck with proprietary lamp specs that basically force you into expensive OEM contracts. It feels like you’re being held hostage by the manufacturer just to keep your line moving. We got tired of that. So, we built replacement IR lamps that actually fit. How we made them fit everything
It really comes down to three things: the electrical load, the size, and the heat. We standardized our tubes to cover the usual voltage ranges (220V to 400V). That way, you don’t have to worry about blowing a fuse or, on the flip side, ending up with preforms that aren’t hot enough to blow. And the connectors? We stuck with standard R7s and SK15. Here’s the best part: you can pull out a dead OEM lamp and just drop ours in. No rewiring the oven. No fancy tools. If it fits the bracket, it works. Simple as that.
The guts of the lamp
We use high-purity quartz glass and halogen gas. Why? Because it lets the filament get hotter without burning out in a heartbeat. The goal is shortwave radiation. It hits the PET wall faster, which means you can shave time off every single bottle. Plus, we have coated options that bounce the heat right back toward the preform. It keeps the heat where it belongs and stops your machine frame from turning into a radiator.
A few tips from the floor
These lamps are absolute workhorses. They can handle 24/7 production without complaining. But a word of advice: if you switch to a higher wattage lamp to speed things up, keep an eye on your cooling fans. More heat means your fans have to work harder. If your ventilation is junk, your lamps will die early—no matter who made them. We keep these in stock because we know the pain of waiting weeks for a factory shipment while your machine is sitting idle. Just check your voltage and length, plug it in, and get back to work.
