Most people think of those bathroom heat lamps as a luxury—something to keep you from shivering while you get dressed in the morning. But for us, it’s not really about the temperature. It’s about the water. Here is the thing: bathrooms are basically moisture traps. If you just warm up the air with a standard heater, you often end up with condensation clinging to your cold walls. It’s messy, and it’s how you get those annoying damp spots. Our infrared lamps work differently. Instead of just heating the air, they send out short-wave radiation that actually sinks into your tiles and grout. It makes the water molecules vibrate and evaporate right off the surface. It’s fast. Really fast. And that’s the secret to fighting mold. Mold loves those stagnant, damp corners where air doesn’t move. We use high-purity quartz glass because it lets the heat through without filtering it out. These are high-wattage lamps, so they pack a punch, and they’re tucked into moisture-resistant housings so you don’t have to worry about steam causing a short circuit. But a heads-up: these things gethot. Because they deliver direct radiant heat, you have to make sure the housing is vented properly.
