We wanted to kill those thermal gaps once and for all. The nitty-gritty on power Here is the thing: the SFR 12 is picky. You need a very specific wattage-to-length ratio. If you get it wrong, you either under-heat the plastic or fry the neck of the bottle. We use high-grade quartz glass to handle the shock, but a word of warning: if you crank these up to max voltage, the heat is intense.**Make sure your oven ventilation is actually clear.**If it’s clogged, the lamps will soak in their own heat and burn out way too fast. We use a filament centering process that flattens the heat curve, so you get a steady glow from end to end. Plus, the quartz is treated for short-wave IR emission. In plain English? The heat sinks into the PET wall much faster. Installation is a breeze. We used standard industrial connectors, so it’s a simple drop-in. No rewiring, no headaches. Just swap the old tube for the new one, tweak your PID controllers, and you’re back in business. Real-world performance These things are built for the grind. If you’re running 24/7, you know that cheap lamps tend to drift in resistance, and suddenly your temps are all over the place. Ours stay stable. You’ll notice a much more consistent preform temperature across the rotary mandrel. One quick tip:don’t mix and match. If you put a few new lamps in with a bunch of old ones, you’re just creating new thermal imbalances. Swap them out in full sets per zone. It’s the only way to keep the heat field uniform and your bottles looking perfect.
